Hi all - It's looking too windy tomorrow to be playing with power tools outdoors, so our Saturday work day is cancelled. However, we will still be doing some site prep on Sunday - Join us then or stay tuned for the next build day!

Hello everyone, Last month at the Olde Kensington Neighborhood Association meeting that we all attended, the vote on the La Finquita site was postponed until this Tuesday, January 8th. Please join us at the community meeting to vote on the proposed development on the La Finquita property if you live in the neighborhood. Thank you!

We recycled some of the old belgian block from La Finquita into a beautiful fire pit at the new garden just a block away on Orkney and Jefferson! We also installed a compost system that is all ready to turn your kitchen scraps into black gold. Send us a message with you email address if you'd like to join us in building out this new space.

A great piece on our effort to develop a new community garden in the former Catholic Worker yard. It's only about a tenth of the size of La Finquita, but with all the great energy that our neighbors are bringing to this space already, there is no doubt that this site will help us carry on the legacy of La Finquita in our community. Shazana and Steve came to the neighborhood to sling some of the first veggies from their new farm and we had a serendipitous La Finquita South Kensington reunion all at the same time. Happy and sad. Lots of love to these folks and the whole La Finquita crew.
