Members of the Lackawanna College cheerleading, football, and women's basketball teams helped the Children's Advocacy Center of NEPA recognize the start of Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month by planting pinwheels on Courthouse Square in Scranton. In 2020, the center served 659 children who were victims of abuse or neglect.
