For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in sw...addling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Merry Christmas to one and all from all of us at the Knights of Columbus Council 14626 St. Michael the Archangel

Today is Memorial Day. This is the day where we honor those who served our country and never came back. They're sacrifice was a living and now immortal Testament to the the old but never less true saying that freedom is not free. Offer up a rosary, light a candle, say a prayer, or at least give them the moment they deserve on this most somber and sacred of American holidays. God bless them. God bless you. God Bless America. To all Catholic men. Knights of Columbus everywhere were thrilled to learn that our beloved founder will be beatified and officially declared Blessed later this year. In recognition of this historic event, I am pleased to announce that the Supreme Council will be making a special membership offer in honor of our founder.... SPECIAL LIMITED TIME MEMBERSHIP PROMOTIONAL OFFER: For a 2-week period commencing Wednesday, July 22 and continuing through 11:59 p.m. ET on August 5th, new members are being offered FREE ONLINE MEMBERSHIP for their first year. The Supreme Council will pay the first-year dues for every man who joins online between now and August 5. Prospects simply need to visit kofc.org/joinus and enter the code MCGIVNEY2020 to take advantage of this special offer. Father McGivney was faced with a pandemic in the 1880s, as we are today. And in the face of that pandemic, he persevered in his efforts to evangelize those in his community, to form his parishioners in their Catholic faith, and to grow the Knights of Columbus. As his spiritual heirs, we can do nothing less. Our pastors need the Knights of Columbus. Our fellow parishioners need the Knights of Columbus. Those impacted by COVID-19 need the Knights of Columbus. Just as holy founder surely would, let us resolve to Leave No Neighbor Behind, and to offer every Catholic man the opportunity to join the Order that he founded some 138 years ago. Vivat Jesus! Fraternally,

Brothers All, Words alone can’t express what an honor it has been to be your Grand Knight for the past two years. The accomplishments we made together were beyond everything I had hoped for not the least of which was mending fences with the other church organizations, increasing our visibility in the parish community, reducing our meeting times from an average of an hour and a half to an average of 50 minutes, increasing our social media following from 22 to 141, new fundrai...sing tactics that raised an impressive amount of money and recruitment efforts that led to the recruitment of 6 new brothers. We showed everyone that we are much more than a social club but indeed the strong right arm of our church. I wish to especially thank my Deputy Grand Knight and newly elected Grand Knight Jerry Corrento for all his help, without him as co-pilot, I doubt half of what we accomplished could have been done. Lastly, let me thank all the outgoing officers for your service and wish the incoming officers the best of luck. And now I take my leave and join the ranks of the Past Grand Knights with the proudest and fondest of memories. Thank you all. Vivat Jesus! See more

Let me begin by wishing each and every one of you a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. 2019 was a year marked by great council triumphs and heartbreaking personal tragedy. In my 25 years of Knighthood I have seen the Knights rally to the side of distressed brothers time and again, I just never thought I would be the one to need it. Thank you all. On the positive side, we tried new fundraising with modest success, had a bang up performance with the fish fries, helped ...the Ladies with their events, recruited four new members and took 3 to their first degree and two to their second. I am hoping to add at least one 4th degree to our ranks and get our newest prospect initiated as soon as possible. We increased our social media following from 27 followers to 129. We helped the school in their endeavor to get new drinking fountains and we continue to be there for our parish whenever we are needed. As I enter the final 6 months of my tenure as Grand Knight I have to say I am very proud of our accomplishments. In the world of sales we often dread January 1, because that is when you find yourself at 0% to quota. I wouldn’t put us quite in the same situation, but a new year means new challenges and as the strong right arm of the church, so long as there are people in need our work is not finished. So let us begin this year with full hearts, firm minds and steadfast resolve. Vivat Jesus! Clark Martin, Grand Knight

Sorry this is late. Today is the Feast of the Ascension, a holy day of obligation. The fortieth day after Easter Sunday, commemorating the Ascension of Christ into heaven, according to Mark 16:19, Luke 24:51, and Acts 1:2. In the Eastern Church this feast was known as analepsis, the taking up, and also as the episozomene, the salvationdenoting that by ascending into His glory, Christ completed the work of our redemption. The terms used in the West, ascensio and, occasionall...y, ascensa, signify that Christ was raised up by His own powers. Tradition designates Mount Olivet near Bethany as the place where Christ left the earth. The feast falls on Thursday. It is one of the Ecumenical feasts ranking with the feasts of the Passion, of Easter and of Pentecost among the most solemn in the calendar, has a vigil and, since the fifteenth century, an octave which is set apart for a novena of preparation for Pentecost, in accordance with the directions of Leo XIII.
