Yes, No, Maybe Life was already busy before the pandemic, which has added a layer of decisions about staying safe safety for ourselves and others. Sometimes by the end of the day, we experience decision fatigue. Here are some tips from James Clear and others about giving ourselves brain boosts for easier decision making: 1. Daily routines make for fewer decisions and more brain power.... 2. Do the most important thing first. Research shows that it’s easier to make healthy decisions earlier in the day. 3. Minimize decisions by blocking out time for your priorities. Scheduled and done! 4. For decisions later in the day, feed your brain first. 5. If your decision is a brain buster, researchers say "sleep on it." Your brain will be able to draw from a broader range of information during your REM sleep. Read more: https://hubs.ly/H0L5nRt0.

"Planting a Seed" We can grow any aspect of wellbeing by planting the seed of intention, according to Luke Ketterhagen of Yoga International. - First, find a still place. - Settle in with a long smooth breath, clearing away any distractions.... - As your breath sweeps your entire body, relax, letting your muscles soften and loosen. - Open your mind to what is important to you. What aspect of wellbeing would you like to cultivate? Plant that seed of intention for the day, week or longer. As you move through life, you will begin to notice instances of this intention occurring more often. Maybe you want to be more receptive when others appreciate you. Or, perhaps you would like to express gratitude more. Whatever you choose, enjoy the delight of watching your garden grow. #SelfCare #NurtureYourSpirit

April 6th, Oma’s Birthday, is a special holiday at Juniper. It is an occasion to honor our roots and celebrate the Juniper mission to nurture the spirit of life throughout all seasons. Oma was Lynne Katzmann’s grandmother, and was a force of life. She ran her own business in the 1920s, rode a motorcycle in her mid-70s, and was always ready to share her laughter and wisdom. In many ways, she was the inspiration behind Juniper and the distinctive culture that we embody within the senior living industry. Happy 125th birthday, Oma!
