The exact rate of FOP progression is unpredictable, although there appears to be a pattern to the progression - upper body in childhood and lower body in adolescence. #cureFOP

Hello, it’s me, Joshua Scoble! I was born with FOP (Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva). Just to refresh your memory, FOP is a genetic disorder which causes ...my muscles and ligaments to turn to bone permanently. I am doing well and staying safe. I would like to thank you in advance for your continued support. Unfortunately, we are unable to have my Bingo for a Cure! this March due to the restrictions put into place by the Governor’s mandate. As of right now, we are prohibited from having indoor gatherings exceeding 250 people. We are hoping to perhaps have something in the warmer months. We will continue to monitor the restrictions. Most people with FOP are born with a tell-tale sign of the disease - two bent big toes - so children should be able to be diagnosed at birth. Work is underway to increase awareness of FOP among health care professionals, especially pediatric providers. #cureFOP #RareDiseaseDay

COVID won't stop us from rasing money for the IFOPA and finding a cure for FOP. Our friends, family and surrounding communities did it again. They all came ...out to support my son Joshua on Saturday at his Gigantic basket raffle. Over 1000 people attended throughout the day. We hoped for 300 and never expected more than that.
