REMINDER! Hello All, I wanted to pass along that JAHS student council is currently running an online clothing sale for Johnsonburg Rams spirit apparel. The student members this year wanted to get a store up and running so they went through and selected items they were interested in this year. The logos came out great, there are two different options to choose from. There is also a youth section. All ordering and payment is online. The deadline is November 2, 2020. All ...proceeds will benefit academic excellence at JAHS. https://sportslocker.chipply.com/jburg/
Any student, up to age 18, may come to the Johnsonburg High School between 10:45 AM and 12:30 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2020 to pick up meals for Thursday and Friday and on Monday, November 2, 2020 to pick up meals for Monday and Tuesday. Please pull around the side door of the cafeteria and someone will be available to bring your meals to you. Students do not need to be in the vehicle. This is the only pick up spot available.
COVID-19 UPDATE October 26, 2020 We have been notified that another student at Johnsonburg Area School District has tested positive for COVID-19. We have identified and notified all families whose students have had close contact with this individual. The student with the confirmed case and anyone who had close contact will not return to school until the required quarantine period has expired.... Both confirmed cases are at the high school. We also have approximately 50 students at the high school that are currently quarantined. Our high school students will begin virtual instruction from October 28 November 3, 2020. If a student needs a laptop, one will be provided. Elementary students will continue to attend school and receive in-person instruction during the time the high school is closed. Fall sports, which we host, are now cancelled. I hope that this one week will help stop the spread so that quarantined adults and students can return. Dennis Crotzer Superintendent

Dear Community Members: We have had a positive and productive start to the school year. Students that returned to us have been very responsible in following all preventative measures that the school district put in place as was recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Unfortunately, we have started to have numerous cases of COVID-19 in our community and county. These cases will affect how we proceed in educating our students.... It was left up to each school district how to begin the school year. Once the school year began, the Department of Education had guidelines for how a school district could proceed if virus cases would begin to rise. We have been in the low range of cases; therefore, we have been able to teach classes in person. Now, our community spread is in the moderate range. If we continue on this path, we will have to go to a hybrid model and/or remote model. The school district will have no choice, as per our Health & Safety Plan, but to switch from in-person to hybrid/remote. I am asking that you work with us to help contain the cases within the community and school district. Working together will keep our schools open. Our communities have always shown the ability to work together and this needs to be the time to show our unity. Please continue to look for updates on how the school district will proceed in educating our students. Stay healthy and safe! Sincerely, Dennis Crotzer Superintendent
