Music was my number one passion before I got into lifting. I actually went to college for a degree in music because I wanted to make my whole life revolve around it, but then I decided to change my major to exercise science during my sophomore year. Unfortunately, as I started to become busier with my schooling and busier with life in general, my passion for music got shoved to the side. I got so busy to the point where I stopped playing altogether, which I never expected to ...happen or wanted to happen. Everyone would always ask me about how my music was going; now they only ask how my lifting is going. It’s awful to realize that I’ve lost such a big part of me, so I am working to get it back. I want to be known as the girl who has a passion for lifting AND music again. Solid bench session today losing that hour of sleep killed any energy I had in my body and I really did not want to work out today, so I went in expecting to get one, maybe two, reps at 135, but ended up getting a very easy 4 (& this is almost 10lbs over bw btw!) 290 DL! I’m so pumped about this! Starting my first ever program this week & it called for a max deadlift attempt so I can base my percentages off of it, & somehow without any training for a deadlift max at all I ended up pulling 20lbs OVER my PR of over a year ago. I would’ve definitely been way over 300 by now had I not been through so many setbacks, but I’m moving weight a lot faster now so that’s a win for me I haven’t pulled anything heavier than 245 since last Decembe...r so excuse my form cause I know it’s not the prettiest Even so, I hit 270 today & it moved super smooth, so did 280 & it went the same way, then I figured I should just bite the bullet & pull 290. Thank God I’m the best at camera angles!! Not But I did hit a 5lb PR of 145 today & it was I also decided to weigh myself after my workout today & somehow I weigh UNDER 130lbs now....which hasn’t been a thing since 7th grade. 240 SQUAT! Wasn’t planning on maxing my squat yesterday, but you gotta add weight to the bar when your fellow gym members tell you to! PR’d twice! I did 4x1 at 215, then decided to do a 5th single at 225. I was then convinced to do 235 & achieved a 5lb PR from my personal best back in November. ... I was told that was still too easy, so I put on 240 & made a 10lb PR! Even though it was technically 10lbs, I’ve only touched anything over 200lbs twice this year for low volume working sets. So due to that, I have no clue how I got 240 already when it’s 105lbs over bodyweight, but I’m not gonna question it!

HUUUUGE thank you to Molly Kline for providing our gym members the opportunity to try MagnaWave (a PEMF therapy machine). Naturally we all are skeptical about ...new treatment modalities but literally ALL 30+ members who tried it were blown away at the penetrating power of this machine. Today we provided sample 2 minute treatments...now imagine what 10mins will do to that arthritic joint...that partial muscle tear or that aching tendonitis!! We will keep you all updated on when Molly will return and how to schedule a full treatment session.
