This is Elaine. She was admitted to the CVICU on Jan. 20 in need of a new heart. While in the unit, our staff laughed with her and celebrated a birthday. There ...were also tears, like when her first possible donor heart did not come to fruition, and later when she was unable to see visitors due to COVID-19. On March 26, Elaine got her new heart.
