Bestselling artist/illustrator, filmmaker, and author Marjane Satrapi will be speaking at the Zellerbach Theatre in the Annenberg Center on Thursday, March 14. Best known for her graphic novel Persepolis, Ms. Satrapi is now directing films including a recent adaptation of a graphic novel about Marie and Pierre Curie called #Radioactive, due to be released later this year. Her talk at Penn Arts & Sciences, "Art and Politics, from Graphic to Cinema: A Conversation with Marjane Satrapi," will focus on her own art and how politics has been threaded through it over the years.
