PSA: The areas highlighted are parking for MEMBERS of the department at ALL TIMES, 24/7/365! These areas need to be clear for members responding to calls for service and for apparatus departing/returning to/from calls for service. The lower lot (South Railroad St.) Is also a designated Landing Zone for medical helicopters, please keep it clear, as well as around the fire hydrant and entrances to the lot!... Thank you for your cooperation!

Alright, everyone this year we are adding a new event to our line up. That’s right we are having our first ever Semi Truck and Car show right here at the fire house. Come out and join us on June 26th from 9-3 for awesome rides and food. Spectators are free admission. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Participants can join us starting at 0730. A $10.00 registration fee for Cars and Pickups and $20.00 for Semi Trucks (trailers are welcomed). Which also includes a ticket for a water or soda. For more information call or text 570-494-8402

THE NEWS YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR: The 2021 HVFD Carnival is ON! We are going to do our best to have as normal of a carnival as possible while still complying with social distancing. Of course that will include all your favorite carnival foods, local music entertainment, and rides and games from our amazing partners at Sunshine Shows! The schedule is attached below! Further details will be announced when the event gets closer! We can’t wait to see everyone and kick off summer the same way we always do!

At approximately 0620hrs, Station 24 was dispatched along with Station 23 (Pennsdale) to assist Picture Rocks FD with a woods fire on Roaring Run Road, Shrewsbury Township. Brush and Utility 24 responded to assist in containment and mop up. Photos credit to member Pat McConnell.
