Dahlia sale Saturday at 9 am. https://hopevalleygardens.bigcartel.com/products
We finally have all our dahlia tubers inventoried and they are ready to go to new homes. We will open our dahlia tuber sale at the link below on Saturday April 17 at 9am. You can visit the store and see what is available. Some varieties there are limited quantities and some have dozens. This year we are providing cuttings for a bit less than the tubers. Cuttings will provide you with just as many flowers as tuber. You will receive a small plant instead of a tuber. Stay tuned for more informations. There will be some free giveaways over the next few days so keep watching. If you want to preview click here. https://hopevalleygardens.bigcartel.com/products
I know this may be an odd post but somehow I was emotional today when my van, that I purchased for Hope Valley Garden business, turned this milestone as I turned into the drive to the garden for one of the last times. This car has driven me up that dirt path for the last 8 years. I’m so thankful for so much, the memories, the flowers, the customers, the many miles. Life is a journey and an adventure. I’m so thankful for this trip in my life.
Thank you all for the wonderful support with our liquidation of our plants. It’s going very well. I have updated some of the numbers on the webpage that looked like we were previously sold out but I just redid our inventory and there’s a few things left. I also just added two new lovely varieties of daffodils. You can check out the webpage at this link. https://hopevalleygardens.bigcartel.com
So it’s dahlia time. Yesterday was the perfect day to wash dahlias. 50 degrees and sunny . Today starts the divisions and packing.
My husband surprised me with this amazing oringal painting of Hope Valley Gardens that he had done by the very talented Susan Shaffer of Joyful Arts Studio. The emotions came pouring out in an unexpected way. This is such a priceless memory of a very special time and place in my life.
My husband and I are part of this interactive play tonight, Saturday and Sunday. Come on out and see it.
This iconic arbor has to be sold from Hope Valley Gardens. It was made from half a hay bale feeder and painted a bright cheery yellow and purple. It is sturdy and 3 years old. It is not cemented into the ground and should be fairly easy to disassemble and remove. Please let me know if you are interested in adding this to your own special garden. It can be moved now or moved in the spring. $500 or best offer.
For those of you who remember the Waynecastle Christmas displays from years gone by. Do you know who has the manger scene from that display? I would like to pur...chase it if it is available. I can lay my hands on a number of the other pieces. Each scene was sold separately at auction years ago at Hurley’s Auction. I want to display them in my yard if I can find the manger scene. See more
Having a little fun in my own backyard. The first of my gnome family had been birthed.
