Welcome D&G Sanitation sponsor for the 2021 racing season
From our family, to your family, Happy Easter.
CLEARFIELD, PA - Due to the COVID Pandemic, the 2020 Hidden Valley Speedway Awards Banquet had been put on hold for a while, but the top point drivers haven’t been forgotten and the plans have finally been made to distribute awards to the 2020 point finishers. Speedway officials have decided to have a good old-fashioned cookout to honor the drivers. Since it’s almost impossible to book someplace for an indoor event, the affair will be held outside at the speedway on April 17 ...at 3 p.m. before practice begins. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, macaroni salad, potato salad and baked beans. The top five drivers will be honored and Bubba Racing Products will be distributing items as well. The Tri County Church, Clearfield Campus, has an open invitation for any fans, drivers, speedway staff, friends, family, emergency service personnel and anyone else, who may want to talk about the events that happened Saturday night, to come the church, located at 321 Mill Road (previously the florian banquet hall), on Monday, Sept. 14 from 6-7 p.m. The family has asked to continue to pray and there will be people available to do so if you choose. If you'd like to speak with someone regarding coping with the events, the pastor will be available as well during that time as well. There will also be get well cards available for everyone to sign and send.
Update on HVS Crash/Injured For immediate release September, 12, 2020 CLEARFIELD, PA - Raymond Reynolds, the 2020 Street Stock Point champion,at Hidden Valley Speedway, spoke to us earlier today, and stated he was feeling fine, but, I think I’m going to be pretty sore tomorrow. Reynolds said he wasn’t sure what happened, It happened so quick, I tried to stop, but I couldn’t. I really hope Kenny and his son are going to be ok.... Reynolds said he reported to rescue personnel his neck hurt, and they advised him to remain in the car until additional help arrived. He was then cut from the car before being transported to Penn Highlands Clearfield. They did x-rays, fearing I had a broken collar bone, but everything came back clear, he said. I talked to the Photographer, (Kinser Mayhew) and he was more concerned about me than himself. Reynolds said he is keeping both Mayhews in his prayers, and wishes them both well. In speaking with Kinser Mayhew this evening, via facebook messenger, he said, My father (Kenny Mayhew) had surgery done on his hand and the surgery went well. He said his dad's back wasn't too bad from what he heard and they're giving him a (back) brace. Kinser also talked to Raymond and he felt very bad about the whole thing but he was happy to hear that my father is going to be okay. As for me, the pain isn't too bad but I should make a recovery within a month or two, he said. He has no clue how long it'll take his dad to recover but he said he's talking well and he seems to be in good spirits, the last time I talked to him, which was a few hours ago, but he said his dad should be ok. He also noted Kenny would be in the hospital a few more days. Kinser said his dad is in a lot of pain and he has swelling in his neck. Doctors are continuing to monitor him, but he may need back surgery after all. Hidden Valley Speedway is continuing to pray for all three individuals. The racing community really pulls together in times like this, said Jennifer Luzier Bailey, track promoter. Whether it’s your biggest rival or your favorite driver, they all come together in these times, and for that we are grateful. The speedway will keep the public updated as well as possible and we and the injured appreciate the continued prayers. Below: Raymond Reynolds gave a thumbs up this morning saying he was feeling fine, however he knows he's going to feel it tomorrow. He said his care is totaled. (Submitted Photo)

Hidden Valley Crash Injures Three For immediate release September 13, 2020 CLEARFIELD, PA - In the closing laps of last night’s Street Stock feature at Hidden Valley Speedway, a crash happened to send three people to the hospital. Chad Rougeux and Raymond Reynolds were battling hard for position when Reynolds 61R went out of control on the frontstretch and started sliding towards the infield. Reynolds car then hit the damp grass and picked up speed, before the car struck an e...mbankment and utility pole that holds the turn two track lights. A corner flagman and a photographer were standing at that pole. Reynolds would eventually extraicated from his car by firefighters, and transported to Penn Highlands Clearfield, while additional fire and EMS units were responding the scene. Those injured at the pole are Kinser Mayhew, photographer, who suffered a broken collar bone. His dad, Kenny Mayhew was the corner flagman. He was flown to UPMC Altoona by Stat MedEvac Helicopter. His family released the following injuries today, and granted the speedway permission to release the information, along with the names. Kenny has a fractured back, broken ribs, fluid in both lungs and a severely injured hand, which he will be having surgery on as this is being written. He is in Intensive Care at UPMC Altoona at this time. His son was treated and released from Penn Highlands Clearfield as was Reynolds. Rescue Hose and Ladder EMS of Curwensville provides weekly stand by as does Hyde Fire Co., at the speedway. Together they worked well and immediately requested additional resources from fire and EMS. Those at the scene include: Rescue Hose and Ladder EMS with 3 ambulances, Clearfield Medic 1 EMS, Hyde Fire Co. and Lawrence Township Fire Co. #1 and Stat MedEvac Helicopter, which landed on the front stretch. Please keep those involved in your prayers, and we at the speedway will do our best to keep you updated to their conditions. See more
It’s Race Day! Our last race for the season, tonight it’s the 4 Cylinder $2000 to win special, along with Super Late Models Semi Late Models and Street stocks gates open at 4pm and racing starts at 7pm. General admission is $12 for adults and $8 for children 6-16. Pits is $30.
The points have been gone over, week-by-week, division-by-division. There were a few very minor changes here and there, but nothing that was major enough to make a difference. They are now final and official, Also The only time someone got more than 200 points last week is if they won the heat and feature, that would only be 203. Also, if you did not run the double points race, please don’t complain about where you finished in the final points, when you didn’t even try.
