While much has changed since our last updatemuch still remains unknown. The Tri-County League that we are a part of was prematurely canceled. Two weeks ago, Tri County called another special meeting to discuss any possibility of playing a delayed regular season. At that meeting, they decided to change the status of a cancelled season to a postponed one. Glendale Youth Football and Tri County League are waiting for the last PIAA meeting to come out with final recommendations.... They will be meeting on Aug. 21. At this point, things are postponed and we are looking into other options to get our players back on the field! With that said, our first priority is the safety and well-being of our kids, our coaches, our staff and the parents/fans that attend our events. Whether we can have a season still depends on guidance from the PIAA, the CDC and the Commonwealth of PA. We are working to develop a tentative schedule for a later start date and fewer total games, but we do not want to release that, as these dates are not firm. There is also a possibility that our practices and games may be held at a different location other than the school. We hope to provide more updates in the near future. Please continue to check back regularly and follow us on Facebook as updates sometimes make it there first.

Our 3rd & 4th Grade Football Team will be practicing tonight (Wednesday, September 9th) and tomorrow night (Thursday, September 10th) from 5:30 p.m.-7:00p.m. up at the Reade Field if your 3rd/4th grade child is showing interest, it would be a great time to bring them up to try it out! We are just having light practice, which means no equipment...just practicing/reviewing the fundamentals!

I’d like to announce that Tri-County has given the ok to begin a five week modified season for 2020. However these will be scrimmages and not games. I know it’s not ideal, but we felt this was better than nothing. Most games will be played at alternate sites off school properties. Because of the restrictions we have with no fans at the football stadium, we are looking into possibly playing at Reade. We’ll have more info on that very soon. We are also looking at reopening sign... ups for anyone interested, and anyone who signed up in July will be added to the rosters. There is a scheduling meeting on September 7, then we’ll have a solid schedule. Also if there’s any parents who still have steer tickets, they need to turned in to Sam ASAPI’d like to thank everyone for their patience in a crazy time! Hopefully in a week or so we can get the kids back on the field! See more
