Friends of Mt. Pisgah State Park

An update: Our next Friends Group meeting will now be held February 8th, 2021 at the Nature Center. If you enjoy programs at the park, please consider joining and volunteering with our group as volunteers make things happen :)

Join Mt. Pisgah’s Environmental Education Specialist for an overview of the current insect damage at Mt. Pisgah State Park. There will be discussions on management options and current control methods. Focus will be on Emerald Ash Borer, Hemlock Scale, Hemlock Wooley Adelgid, and Beech Bark Disease. A brief discussion on the Spotted Lantern Fly will also be included. Please wear appropriate footwear. Masks and preregistration are required for this free program. Please register by calling the park office at 570-297-2734. Participation is limited.

The next Friends group meeting will be Monday, October 12 at 6:30pm at the Nature Center!
