We were so glad to see some of you this morning at the church. We hope everyone is staying healthy and enjoying the advent season. Our advent lesson today emphasized pondering the birth of Christ, so we invite you to do the same as often as you think of Christmas! Taking Responsibility

Today we picked out our Christmas tree at a farm, and as soon as I’m done posting here we will decorate it. You can see it lit in the parsonage front window when you drive by. If you’re lucky you might catch a cat on the window sill too, hopefully not playing with the ornaments. Decorating the tree together is one of our family’s favorite traditions, but one we wouldn’t be doing if it weren’t for the birth of our Saviour. We discussed how different life would be if Jesus was... never born during our advent reading tonight. As you stare at your own Christmas lights or the lights decorating your town, take a moment to think about all that we do this time of year because Jesus was born. The splendor of Christmas that we find such joy in was made possible by the hope and love we are celebrating. We miss our Church family and can’t wait to be back in the sanctuary worshipping with you all. Here are the scripture readings and prayer for the 2nd week of advent. We will see you all soon!
