Thanks to the terrific people who helped take down our battered flag. We will be raising a new one before May 1, 2021. In the meantime, bricks that have been purchased are being engraved with the names of their sponsors. This is a slow process, but as we always say, we will get this project done. Happy Thanksgiving! Stay healthy.

The Fayette County American Legion donation will pay for a new flag. We have three flags that have been used, battered, and repaired several times, and one is badly faded as well. We buy the best quality flag available, but none can stand up to the bad storms we have gotten. We're thankful that we have been able to have the flags repaired and reinforced. ... Thanks again to the American Legion members.

We are working on a date to raise the flag again. As you know, storms have given us a rough time for the past three years. We have several options to solve the problem; and be assured, the flag will be up soon. Also, the bricks are in the process of being engraved. Last year we received the bricks and constructed boxes for them to fit. It's been a long time, but we are still working on it. We thank you all for your patience.... We thank our crew and volunteers who raise the flag. We thank the guys who have been mowing the grass at the site. We are always searching for volunteers to help us with talent, ideas, time, and muscle. Call Norm Zimmerman if you think you can be of assistance. 724-736-2000.

The flag will be flying by the Fourth! Please call Norm at 724 736 2000 if you can help the flag project in anyway. One current difficulty is that we are without a pickup to transport the flag container to the site. The flags are in Perryopolis, and we often have to wait to borrow a pickup. Your response to raising and lowering the flag has been great, and we always have a good crew on hand.... If you have some ideas or have time to help, please call, and thanks.
