Last Saturday ,January 9, 2020 was a sad day for me because I had to say goodbye to my friend Jamey Murphy-Wood . Jamey was 42 years old, too young to leave this earth. I worked with Jamey and she was a kind,hard working and queen of the visual store sets.Jamey loved cooking and after moving to her house she started a vegetable garden.I remember how proud she was when she grew her first harvest of green and red peppers .She would bring them to work to share them with all of ...us. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and cheering her favorite teams Notre Dame and the Eagles. She liked painting walls and after she moved to her house she started painting her focal wall but you would never know it that was faux brick because she spent weeks perfecting her work by hand. She was always kind and thoughtful. I remember after my youngest son left for college Jamey saw me at the supermarket and she knew how hard it was for me because he was my youngest boy. We started talking and I told her that he was moving to the house with his friends and he did not have air-conditioning and it was still hot in August . Jamey insisted that I follow her to her house because she had an air conditioning window unit and I take it over to him because that’s how thoughtful Jamey was, always ready to lend a helpful hand. I am praying for her mom Donna and her brother David . .
