Today’s Fire Safety Tip: if your oven catches fire it is very important to NOT open it. By opening you give that fire an important ingredient to grow - oxygen. I instead - TURN OFF the oven and get your family OUT to your meeting place and call 911.

Last night Engine 246 was alerted for a Commercial Structure Fire at BRAVO’s Italian Restaurant. Crews arrived and found fire in the walls. Engine 246 picked up engine 247 supply line, before crews assisted with removing the outside wall to get to the fire. Great job by all crews.
19 years ago 3,000 people lost their lives to the deadliest terror attack to ever happen on US soil. 343 firefighters lost their lives doing what they did everyday. They knew the dangers that they were facing and still rushed in to try and save those that they could. They did not stop to think Will I make it home today?. Today we stop to honor and remember those who lost their lives on this tragic day. Always keep them and their families in you thoughts and prayers. Never Forget 09-11-01
