December 16, 2020 Greetings friends and family of East Lake Road Alliance Church, Grace and Peace to you! I hope that you are well this Christmas season. The word Joy has been one that has been continually reoccurring in my reading. I pray that you are experiencing the Joy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ... Exciting News!!!! Corporately, as a church we will resume meeting this Sunday, December 20 at 11 am. The elders met on Monday and decided to suspend mid-week, children, and youth, as well as Sunday School until January 6 when it will be re-evaluated. We understand that there are varying thoughts and opinions among people to when to resume and how to resume. Prayerfully, this decision was made. If you have any concerns or are susceptible to COVID-19, please don’t feel pressured to coming to the service it will still be live-streamed so you can watch it at home. If you are able to come, we ask that you would maintain social distancing and when you sit in the sanctuary, please maintain a two chair distance between yourself and someone from another family. The elders also would like to reinforce the importance of wearing masks, even during the service if you are able to. We do not want to live in fear, however we also want to be responsible in following the guidelines given by the CDC. The gym will also continue to be set up for live-stream worship. This room is not only available as overflow, but also to those who may have concerns about spreading or catching the virus. Hand sanitizer stations are set-up not only in the foyer, but also in the gym. Regretfully, we will not have an In-person Christmas Eve service this year, however the service will be recorded and available for you to view on Thursday, December 24 at 6 pm. This difficult decision was reached in attempt to remain consistent in our planning. The Christmas Eve on-line service will be a special service for all to view together. Truly this has been a much different kind of year, however, join with me in not allowing this to rob the Joy that God gives, the Joy of the Lord is our strength!
