This law gives landowners the option of using purple paint, rather than signs, to post their properties and alert others that lands are private, and trespassing isn’t permitted. Remember to always ask for permission before entering private property. If given permission, please be respectful and follow the landowner’s restrictions for hunting on their property. Hello everyone! Just a little update. We have been getting lots of phone calls, emails and private messages about water levels. Unfortunately we have not gotten any of the rain other parts of the state have received and are still unable to operate our kayak and tube rentals. Waters are just too low right now. We do believe that the Clarion and Allegheny rivers are still in operation. If they are not open, then our only other advice would be to head out to some of the lake...s in the area. We will update here should our water levels rise. Until then stay safe and keep on yakin! See more

2020 Elk Expo has been canceled... Restaurants back down to 25% capacity... But wait... Yes, You can still come to the area to see the sights, visit the gift shops, and get some wine/food to go, and enjoy your dinner while looking at the elk. We will also still offer kayak/tube rentals if Mother Nature would ever give us some rainy days. ... Everyone do a little rain dance. See more

Some great tips for kayaking!

Water levels have come up with last nights rain. This means we’ve got about 2-3 days before it drops too low again (water has already dropped an inch since this morning). Unfortunately Mother Nature has not been in our favor this year with rainfall. We are no longer offering kayak/tube trips along the Bennett Branch until further notice. However, we have come up with a plan to try and keep people on the water. We are taking kayakers down to Sinnamahoning where the water levels are still passable (for now). This float is a 4 mile short trip (about 2 hours depending on how much or how little you paddle) and 45 minutes one way from our location.... Keep in mind, with temps forecasted in the 80’s-90’s and very little rain we may only offer this extended trip for a short time. In order to do this float some things will change. Those changes are as follows: * reservations are required * minimum 6 kayaks rented * $50 per kayak Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Thank You All! Water levels are dropping fairly quick... The river is still passable so long as you follow the deeper channels, should you drift out of the channels you will have to reposition your tube/kayak.

Water has come up some with the recent rains. Get your kayaking and tubing in this week before the water drops again!

Just a heads up certain GPS systems are directing people down the wrong driveway. We are located at 585 Overturf Cir Benezette PA 15821. We are 4.5 miles on the right coming from Benezette towards Driftwood. We are the last driveway on the right as you pass through the village of Grant. If GPS wants you to turn in at Donnell's Gift Shop, (stop and check them out) then you keep going down 555 until you see our sign on the right.

With temperatures forecasted to be in the 90s this week what better way to spend the day than in the cool water of the Bennett Branch of the Sinnamahoning River. We still have kayaks and tubes available. More information can be found on our pinned post.

Boats are booked for tomorrow (Saturday June 6, 2020) Tubes are still available, and what better way to spend a hot summer day than floating the Bennett Branch in the nice cool water. We will run the short tube trip (2miles) from 10am to 1pm. Any long tube trips (4.5miles) need to be on the water by 11am.

So as most of you are aware, we are able to reopen shop tomorrow (5/29). Trust us when we say we are just as excited as you. However we will have some guideline...s that we are all going to have to follow. These are just universal precautions to keep you and our loved ones safe. 1. You will be required to wear some sort of mask. As will we. 2. Please come alone, we understand that some of you want to bring a friend for moral support, however we have to limit the amount of people in our workspaces. Video chats are welcome. 3. We will have hand sanitizer available to all clients. Please utilize it. 4. We will be limiting in person consults. We are more than happy to assist you over Facebook when applicable. 5. Please be patient, we are doing our very best to get into contact with everyone who's appointment was postponed due to the pandemic. Friday May 22, 2020 will be opening day!!... *With us still in the yellow phase of this pandemic we are going to do things a little differently this year... *When you arrive to our location you will be required to wear a mask. We will not provide these for you. *Unfortunately we will not be hauling you as of right now. Yes we are still hauling the boats/tubes and other equipment for you. We are just not transporting you personally. Meaning you will need two vehicles. You will come to our location fill out your waivers, pay for rentals, then follow us to your drop off location. There we will unload the equipment for you but you will be required to get into the water yourselves. Then you will float/paddle back to our location where your 1st vehicle will be. *When you finish your kayak/tube trip you will be required to get the boat/tube and any other equipment completely out of the water. *Under normal conditions we would help you with getting into and\or out of the river but in order to maintain social distancing we are not at this time. *All equipment will be completely disinfected after every use. * Reservations are recommended but not required. *We understand this is an inconvenience for you all, but please understand we are taking these precautions for your health and safety as well as our own. **Please see pinned post on our Facebook page for further information**

We are still waiting on a yes or no as to whether or not kayak rental is included in this. Starting Friday, May 1, golf courses, marinas, guided fishing trips and privately owned campgrounds may reopen statewide and are required to follow updated life-sustaining business guidance and FAQ issued by the Wolf Administration to include specifics for how these outdoor recreational industries can resume activities while prioritizing public health and safety. Campgrounds in state parks will remain closed through Thursday, May 14.

Pennsylvania state park and forest facilities will remain closed until Friday, May 8, to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Anyone with reservations in... this time period will be contacted, and full refunds will be made. This extension applies to events as well. Closures and event cancellations beyond May 8 will be coordinated with the commonwealth’s reopening plan. #FlattenTheCurve
