LOL. One year ago, Cooper was hanging out with the guys at work. He absolutely loves going to work and has become a big part of ED'S AUTO SERVICE LLC since his first day on the job at around 9 weeks old. He runs in the back door every morning, headed straight for the back counter, does a little hop as he puts his paws up on the counter and is ready for his first treat of the day. He knows he gets one from each of the guys. Customers look for him, delivery people bring him tr...eats and he has a routine with several. He enjoys break time with the guys and even brings his own orange peanut butter and cheese crackers to the party. We’re pretty sure he can count. I often catch Eric sneaking him jerky treats through the crack in the door leading back to the garage. He knows when it’s lunch time and he patiently waits till I finish my lunch so we can go outside and play ball or frisbee. He loves initiating games of ball with the customers ( and his co-workers) and he definitely has his favorite customers. Many bring him treats or tennis balls or even Christmas presents!!! And at the end of the day, he knows when it’s time clock out and get his last parting treat for the work day, until the next day, when he comes busting through the back door and running for the back counter, does his little hop as his feet hit the counter to receive his first treat of a new work day! He loves his job!!! We love Cooper Forrest. There will never be another dog like him. He is my favorite co-worker. See more

Fall and Spring are the perfect times to have your vehicle checked over. Call to schedule. Battery The harsh heat of the summer months can cause battery fluid to evaporate, damaging the internal structure of the battery. Cold weather is also harsh on a battery, so it is a good idea to check the battery and charging system now. Battery connections should be clean, tight and corrosion free. Batteries don’t always give warning signs before they fail, if your battery is over thr...ee years old you may want to consider replacing it. Belts, Hoses, and Filters Belts and hoses are checked for signs of fraying, cracking or leaking, as well as air and cabin filters. Cooling System Check your owner’s manual for the proper coolant mixture, which is usually a 60/40 or 50/50 antifreeze-to-water ratio. Make sure the antifreeze is at the proper level and add more if needed. If it looks like it is in poor condition, have a flush-and-fill done. Check radiator hoses and replace or tighten if needed. Emergency Kit Your vehicle should always contain a roadside emergency kit. In the fall, make sure that you have added items that will aid you if you end up on the side of the road in winter conditions. Jumper cables, flares, ice scrapers, road salt, flashlights, flares, blankets, and first aid materials. Tires Make sure you keep your tires properly inflated, cold air condenses so check regularly. You can find your recommended psi on the sticker found on the doorjamb, or in the glove box. You will also want to maintain the best traction possible on icy or slick road conditions. If your tires are worn you should replace them as soon as possible. Don’t forget to check your spare. Windshield Wipers Visibility is important in the fall and winter months. The days are shorter and the nights longer, and there is always the chance that you are going to find yourself driving in inclement weather. Check that your wiper blades are in good condition. Check for deterioration and change if needed. If you think you will be driving in winter weather, maybe consider using winter/snow blades. Also, make sure your washer fluid reservoir is full and maybe use a fluid formulated for winter.

Whew! It's been crazy trying to get everyone caught up on 4 months of inspections and vehicle repairs, but we are doing our best! You are welcome to wait inside if you prefer or walk the trail, please bring your own reading material, as we do not have community magazines out to minimize exposure to all. We are still disinfecting and encourage those returning from vacations, to allow the 2-3 week mark to pass before coming inside for appointments. Please call and we will be happy to schedule your vehicle. Good Health to All.
