The EPCC Advisory Council presented our "Bunny Hop" this morning with a rare, covid-safe, visit from Peter Cottontail ... himself! Each child received an Easter Basket filled with seasonal candy, plastic Easter Eggs filled with colorful stickers, a holiday craft kit (to do later at home), and an opportunity to take photos with Mr. Bunny!! Kudos to all our volunteers, staff, and stakeholders with extra special thanks to our corporate sponsor Recovery Centers of America!!!

Hop by this morning after 10 am for a quick photo with Mr. Bunny and leave with a sweet treat and a take-home craft. He’ll be there until noon for kids to visit safely outdoors. Masks & distancing required.

TOMORROW! Make a quick hop to meet Mr. Bunny and pick up some sweet treats at the East Passyunk Community Center on Sat April 3, 10 am - noon. This is a quick, safe, outdoor moment of spring joy for the kids.

Kudos to PPR district manager Joe Brogan for helping replace our former United States flag with this new one donated by the U.S. Veterans administration! Additional thanks to our local Girl Scouts troop for arranging for the ritual disposition of the old flag.

COMIC BOOK DAY EVENT - Featuring Blank Panther! SAT OCT 17 11 am - 1 pm - DROP BY EPCC The Advisory Council presents Comic Book Day: Swing by the East Passyunk Community Center for a safe and quick visit with Black Panther and receive a goodie bag of fun items promoting literacy, including a free comic book! Parents can stop by with their kids during this event and get a photo and have fun items to take home. Social distancing and masks required for this outdoor event at the Center. Come to 11th & Mifflin and enjoy! This event is part of Reading Promise Week.

ONLINE COMIC BOOK CHAT - WED OCT 14 at 4 pm The Advisory Council presents this event: Join your friends from East Passyunk Community Center for a fun after school Comic Book Chat with our local comic book fan Vincent Minei on Wednesday October 14 at 4pm. This zoom chat is an opportunity for kids to hang out and share their thoughts on superheroes and comic books. What are you reading now? Who are your favorite superheroes? Vincent can recommend some of the latest books and ...provide insight to everyone who is interested. This chat is perfect for ages 7 - 11, but we welcome anyone who likes comics to join the conversation. Wednesday October 14 at 4pm Email [email protected] to get the zoom link. The City of Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Department dedicated the first part of the outdoor redesign of EPCC! Special thanks to Councilmember Squilla and Commissioner Ott Lovell for their support of the Advisory Council's vision of our public space. Kudos to our amazing staff lead by John and Natalie plus our outstanding Advisory Council members, including Adam and Margaret pictured, for their tireless efforts towards all the successes at East Passyunk Community Center!!!

EPCC FUNDRAISER! Hi folks, because of the restrictions from covid-19 we're unable to throw our large November fundraiser this year. So, in an attempt to recoup some of the funds we would have raised at the dinner dance we're holding this October online Scentsy fundraiser instead. Kudos to all the many volunteers who have helped distribute food at EPCC since early March of this year! Today, SADLY, marks the end for this city program at our facility. The EPCC Advisory Council and staff wish to publicly thank all those who have assisted in any way!! Hoping for the best for all those in need as this crisis seems not to abate!!!
