Older Driver Safety Awareness Week, Day 1: Anticipating changes that can affect driving. We all experience physical and mental changes as we age. Some may be mi...nor while others may interfere with daily life. Slower reaction time, night vision changes, and pain and stiffness can affect driving skills but do not necessarily mean driving has to stop. If we are aware of our limitations, we can modify driving behaviors and equipment to continue driving. Simple things like running errands in the middle of the day rather than during rush hour, and avoiding night driving can greatly enhance safety.
