Rub a dub dub two sheep in a tub! Sometimes it takes a few extra washes to get mounts clean. That was the case with these sheep!

Hi everyone! Once we close the shop for the day today we will be away for a week - we will reopen on Monday the 21st so we can keep working on all your mounts!

We’re busy working on deer here at the shop- but we’re also doing a few exotic mounts and they are always cool to see!

Here was an oddball project- the only porcupine we did this year, and probably the hardest and most painful animal to mount this year!!!!!

We’re deep into mounting animals here at D&H- we have tons of sheep and fallow deer, pigs and goats drying on the wall. White Tails are coming up soon! A fun one-off we did, this couple of squirrels - check out that crazy blond one! A truly unique squirrel from right here in Pike County!

We’re at the Garden State Outdoor show in Edison NJ the next few days- we’ll be in and out of the shop so if you need us, call and leave a message!!! Or visit us here at the show!

Here’s an update on our new building!! Masonry is going up around our new showroom and the original 1880’s structure is being shored up on the inside. We’re excited to have more workspace come late Spring of next year, but in the meantime you’ll find us in our current building across be street!

Merry Christmas from our staff to all of you! ...We have had an incredible year, and you our loyal customers have loaded us up with more work than ever before during this hunting season! We are taking a short break next week, then will be back at it working tirelessly to get your mounts back to each of you! We will close today at 6pm and will reopen the shop on January 2nd. Another life size black bear went home today - this sow has a beautiful thick coat and is a prime representative example of our local Tri-states bears.

As incoming deer and bear continue to flood our shop, our attention is turned to processing fresh animals and we have less time to finish mounts. We are catching time here and there to finish some bears, and here is a cinnamon phase black bear out of Canada. A really cool color- close in color to the Alaskan Grizzly behind it!

Here’s the biggest bear we worked on last year- 690+ lbs from New Jersey, finished! Here are some pictures of the work in progress for it!

What a difference a bath makes.... This was by far the fuzziest bear we got last year- usually we wash them several times throughout their process but this one, with its long and dense fur, needed a total of 6 washes to get all that oil and grease out!

Here’s some Friday trivia for you: How many black bears do you count in this picture? It seems like a lot to us!! Most of them are drying, some of them are finished!
