The road to Hershey starts tomorrow! After an interesting season winds down today, and post season starts tomorrow, the culmination of all the hard work our athletes have put in since March 2020 comes down to this. We wish all of our wrestlers, in both 3A and 2A, the best of luck. Make us all proud and bring Rosie home some hardware!
Concrete Athlete of the Month: This month’s Concrete Athlete is the great Timmy Ritter aka T- Timmy is a senior baseball player and wrestler at Whitehall High School and plans to attend West Chester University. Since day 1, he has been on board with what we preach and has made himself available to help us grow the gym in any way. ... He is an ambitious and highly motivated individual that works his butt off and will take on any obstacle no matter how challenging. Being around the athletes at the gym has motivated him to step onto the mat himself, which in this area is no easy decision given we are the toughest in the country! Having him at the gym has been great. We are proud to call him a concrete athlete.
There’s a lot of blood, sweat, and guts between dreams and success. ~ Bear Bryant
Concrete Athlete of the Month: This month’s spotlight athlete is @noah_reichelderfer Noah is a senior wrestler at Northampton High School, and has been training with us for his entire high school career. He is one of the toughest athletes to ever train at CB and it definitely shows on the mat. Noah ended his junior year with a record of 21-9.but unfortunately he is spending his senior year in COVID limbo. Noah is one of the hardest working student athletes that I have had... the pleasure of working with. In addition to wrestling and powerlifting, he is also on the boy’s tennis team, he is in the National Honor Society and in the top 30 of his high school class. He has been active in the Boy Scouts since 2008, and he belongs to various clubs through school (Peace Club, P.E. Club, Spanish Club, Current Events Club and Volunteer Club). Noah has a clear goal in mind and will do whatever it takes to pursue a degree in Engineering while also wrestling on a college team. We are very proud to call Noah a Concrete Athlete. Congratulations and best of luck in all your future endeavors, Noah!
Please consider donating to help this great group of girls compete and show off all the hard work they’ve been putting in!
Without labor, nothing prospers. ~ Sophocles We are excited to get back after it. Big things to come. ... #ConcreteMethod
You won’t find a better opportunity than this one to improve your skills, gain mat time, and pick the brain of one of the best wrestlers in the country. @skygrote will be holding a Girls Wrestling Clinic on January 16th from 4-7pm and we strongly encourage all of our girls to attend. Feel free to go to @buxtonathletics for more details and signup. #WomensWrestlingIsWrestling
Another great addition to the @esuwrestling team! We are very proud of @camnunez_ for committing to continue her education and wrestling career at East Stroudsburg University @eastongirlswrestling @wrestlelikeagirl_
Coaching athletes is more than sitting around and barking orders. It’s loading plates. Checking form. Wrapping knees. Motivating. Inspiring. Making sure they are mentally and physically prepared for what is in front of them. @concrete_coach built Concrete Barbell purely as a way to give back to the Lehigh Valley and help produce some of the best athletes in the country. Rain, shine, pandemic, doesn’t matter. We will always be here to help our athletes. We’re not going anywhe...re. #ConcreteMethod #StrongestInTheValley
What a fantastic time we had yesterday hosting our in-house meet. Despite being a much smaller meet, due to the events of this past year, than we are used tothe energy levels were sky high and big all time PRs are put up. Special thanks to everyone that competed and left it all out on the platform and everyone that helped spot, load, and ensure the safety of the competitors. Big congrats to our winner of Best Lifter, @salvatore_carmine2 with a 375 squat, 240 bench, and 460 deadlift all weighing 134lbs (fully clothed) and only 18 years old. #ConcreteMethod

It’s hard to beat a person that never gives up. Happy to have the current #4, soon to be #1 ranked 68kg women’s wrestler in the country in today to get in a sweat and help recover from her recent runner-up finish at Senior Nationals. Absolute pleasure having you in. #womenswrestlingiswrestling

REMINDER: our in-house powerlifting meet is rapidly approaching. We need forms and entry fee in by this Saturday, the 17th. The meet will be 10/25 at 9am. This fits best with everyone’s schedule and with everything going on this may be your only chance to make one of our two prestigious boards at the gym this year. Best overall lifter will receive a free month at the gym.
Each day is another opportunity for greatness. Don’t waste it.
It’s what you do when you’d rather be doing anything else that makes the difference. #ConcreteMethod
Concrete Athlete of the Month: This month’s featured athlete is Luca Colestock. Luca, now a junior at Muhlenberg College, comes into the year the returning Centennial Conference Champ and the first Sophomore for the Mules in 13 years to qualify for Nationals. He was named 1st Team All-American this past season. Luca has been on a mission ever since the season ended and you’d be hard pressed to find him NOT in the gym working toward his goals. He has served as a prime role mo...del for our up and coming athletes to look up to as he not only excels on the mat but he’s a scholar athlete having made the Dean’s List in his first four semesters. We couldn’t be more excited to watch his career further unfold and be able to assist him in achieving his goals. We are proud to call him a Concrete Athlete.
Everyone’s working hard today...some harder than most.. SWIPE
