The Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture is pleased to announce the schedule of guest speakers for the 2021 Spring Lecture Series, featuring Pascale Sablan, Michael Stone-Richards, Paul Lewis, Steve Kieran, and Sarah Lewis. The series also includes two Reframing Utopias sessions. The series will be held in a virtual format for all visits. Further details are forthcoming. Check out the schedule on our website.

The Reactive Spaces & Media Architecture (RSMA) Final Project Review is Thursday 10 December from 3:20-4:40pm ET. RSMA is a project-based design seminar that uses digital tech, computation, and storytelling to reframe the capacities of smart, responsive, and sensitive experiences. Exploiting the advents of critical design and speculation, students have developed proposals for how the world could be - opening a window into what speculative designers such as Anthony Dunne and Fiona Raby call the possibilities of things. Join us as we celebrate the exciting work that has emerged!

Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture invites applications for the 2021-22 Ann Kalla Professorship in Architecture and the Joseph F. Thomas Visiting Professorship. We welcome emerging practitioners, scholars and studio educators with focused research and/or creative work interested in teaching. As part of the visiting professorship, the recipients will teach two design studios and a seminar and receive support for their research/creative activity through research assistance and/or discretionary funding. Applications due Monday, 18 January 2021 at 11:59pm ET.
