The Officers and Members of the Central Volunteer Fire Company would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Associate Member Linda Salim, who passed away last week. Linda was the wife of our Treasurer Louis (Jim) Salim, and mother of Firefighter Matt Salim. Please keep Linda’s family in your prayers during their time of sorrow.

The #EngineCompany operating at a possible structure fire yesterday morning. Fire was extinguished prior to arrival.

Happy Halloween! Our volunteers are out patrolling the streets of the Central district to help ensure those participating in tonight’s festivities are able to do so in a safe manner. PLEASE, watch for children and those dressed in dark clothing on the roadways and sidewalks this evening and drove slowly through residential neighborhoods.

Don’t forget, this weekend we turn our clocks BACK one hour. What else does this mean?? Change the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors!

The #CentralVolunteers have handled two calls so far today, a vehicle crash on Round Hill Road and a physical rescue/landing zone call at the Boston Soccer Fields. Our ATV was used to transport a patient on difficult terrain while the Engine set up a landing zone for LifeFlight.

It’s that time of year again! Annual hose testing took place today. Every year, we have a third party company test every inch of our hose to ensure that it is free of leaks and safe to continue to be used.
