We're so thankful for the opportunity to partner with Presbyterian Historical Society! On #GivingTuesday, they raised enough funds to provide several paid internships to CCP students, where they'll explore national archives, process collections, research and write histories using archival collections, and create documentaries for the Society’s YouTube page. "2020 has seen a marked rise in gun violence. Over 2,000 people have been shot in Philadelphia this year alone, and there have been 459 homicides, a 40% increase from last year, according to the city. Jim MacMillan thinks he can change this, but his methods are a little unconventional." Through The Philadelphia Center for Gun Violence Reporting, MacMillan is currently recruiting applicants for the Credible Messengers Reporting Project. Credible messengers will collaborate with journalists to report on stories of gun violence and communicate concepts in an accessible way as trusted members of the community.
