Engine 80 relocated with Engine 791 to York County Station 44 while they operated at a house fire. Engine 80 remained in York County for 3 hours until released.
The volunteers have answered 7 calls for service since midnight. This even includes 3 calls getting dispatched within 13 minutes of each other.
Last evening, Captain Misal and Safety Officer Reifsnyder presented an OIC training session. The class was to help those wishing to ride the right front seat with preparing them what is excepted of them and involved with being the officer. It was also a good review for those with experience.
Second night in a row of training at CBFD80 with 19 volunteers attending. Tonight is Ice Rescue Awareness with Todd Stahl from Whitecap. We appreciate Todd being home in Columbia and all the volunteers that trained on Monday, house fire at 2 am and back for training tonight. #cbfd80
Company 80 and mutual aid were sent to the unit block of South 8th Street in the borough for a rowhome on fire. Crews found a small fire on the first floor that was quickly extinguished by Engine 80 with no extension being found. The assignment was reduced to 80 and York 41 for overhaul and clean up.
The volunteers started the day early at 0430am with back to back crashes in the borough with units not clearing until close to 0900am. The afternoon brought a fire alarm assist to Company 07 for the Ladder and Engine.

Here is a video submitted of Rescue 80 responding to an incident on Friday night. The volunteers assisted the Columbia Lions Club and Sunsnappers with delivering food boxes today. There was also 2 calls for service today so far that included a fire alarm and a house fire. Video credit to Lacie Mosteller.
The volunteers just returned from assisting Company 90 with a gas leak in the Pheasant Ridge section of Manor Township. In the afternoon, the Engine and Rescue assisted Company 76 with a house fire in West Hempfield Township. The volunteers also handled two service calls in the borough in the early morning hours.

The Rescue and Engine just recently returned from assisting Company 76 (West Hempfield Fire/Rescue) with a working structure fire in the Salunga section of the township. The crews operated on the scene just over one hour.
This evening, Boy Scout Troop 281 stopped by the station for a tour of the apparatus and equipment. Members also did a vehicle rescue demonstration in the parking lot. Shortly after the tour, Rescue 80 was dispatched to assist Station 76 (West Hempfield Fire & Rescue) with a vehicle accident with reported entrapment.
The Rescue, Engine, and Traffic just returned from a motorcycle crash in the 400 block of Union Street.
The volunteers handled two runs during the afternoon hours. The first was a gas line struck inside a structure and the second was a fire alarm.

The Rescue handled back to back crashes this morning. The first crash was with multiple patients assisting Rescue 76 on Route 441 on the Chickies Hill. While on the scene, Rescue 80 was advised of a crash with one unresponsive at Route 441 and Route 30 interchange. The crew assisted EMS and performed hazard control. Rescue 76 and Squad 801 assisted on the second crash. Fire Police from 80 and 76 assisted on both scenes.
Shortly after clearing the crash on Route 30 with one trapped, the Rescue was sent to assist Company 76 with a crash with one trapped on Marietta Avenue at Ironville Pike. **Traffic Advisory** Crews are on the scene of a vehicle accident currently 30 East bound at 441. Please use caution in the area, or use alternate route!
During thrd early morning hours, Rescue/Engine 80 assisted Rohrerstown Fire Company with a reported structure fire on Dell Lane. The crew assisted Engine 67 with investigation with no problem being found. Before midnight, the volunteers took in a reported vehicle fire in the borough and a fire alarm in West Hempfield Township.
The volunteers started off with a fire alarm in the borough before performing a fire extinguisher training at S.A. Alloys for 23 of their employees. Shortly afterwards the Ladder was sent for a fire alarm in West Hempfield.
The volunteers answered 4 calls for service during the day. Here the Engine Company is on Walnut Street in the borough checking on a fire alarm.
