Friday and the Weekend! Got some different specials for you today and the weekend and we have added additional staff for handle take-outs and deliveries. For Friday:... Yes we have fish, but we thought you’d like something more than that, so: Crab cake Po Boy - $10 - Crab Cakes on grilled sourdough with lettuce, Texas Petal Sauce and your choice of side. (Muenster Cheese recommended and available for this special only. Ultimate Fish Melt - $9.50 - our hand-breaded Haddock on grilled sourdough with American cheese, slaw, Red Devil sauce and tomato. Served with your choice of side. Fried Oysters - $12- 1/2 pound of Fried Oysters served with your choice of 2 sides. For The Weekend: Our Country Benedict has become so popular, we are adding another Benedict to our weekend lineup! Hey, so it’s not often I get to post for the diner, but it’s close to Christmas and Jennifer Evans Cario is busy in her workshop with the rest of the Bentworth Blessings elves wrapping presents that our wonderful community so generously donated. Just another reason why I’m so honored and blessed to be part of such a great community. But I digress. So Jen trusted me to do the post for this week and made me promise that I would do a good and honorable job, be sure to behave my...self and not post anything controversial. Not sure what she meant by that. But here’s what is going on this week: Grazing Trays: We are all sold out for Christmas and New Years Day. Thank so much for ordering and I have to admit that Jen makes amazing trays. Dining: Currently, we are take out and delivery only, but we’ve changed a few things. First, we deliver any time we are open, including the weekends. Our hours are Tuesday through Friday 11-7; Saturday 8-1:30 and Sunday 8-12. Second, BREAKFAST is now available ALL DAY! Finally, our family breakfast packs DO NOT need to be pre-ordered any longer, however availability depends upon volume. As you can imagine, we have a LOT of updates and information for you. Please read and help spread the word. INDOOR DINING CHANGES Today, Friday the 11th is our LAST day open for indoor dining until Monday, January 4th. We are open for dine-in, takeout, and delivery all day today.... From December 12th through Wednesday, December 23rd, we will be open for take-out and delivery as follows: Tuesday-Friday 11am - 7pm Saturdays 8am - 1:30pm Sundays 8am - 12 pm CHRISTMAS CLOSURE We WILL BE CLOSED from Thursday, December 24th thru Monday, January 4th. We will reopen on Tuesday, January 5th. BENTWORTH BLESSINGS ANGEL TREE If you selected an Angel off of our tree to help provide Christmas for a student in the Bentworth School District, but have not yet returned your gifts, you can still do so. We are open for take-out and delivery, so you are still able to stop by to drop off items. Please have all Angel Tree purchases returned by Sunday, December 13th. GRAZING TRAY ORDERS If you ordered a holiday grazing tray from us, we will still be completing those orders and you will still be able to pick them up. We will be reaching out to set appointments for pick up on Christmas Eve since we will now be closed that day. If you have NOT yet ordered a grazing tray for Christmas or New Year's, we still have some space left on the schedule. Happening at The Carlton I know this week many were waiting for one of Jen’s posts about this week’s specials. Sorry that didn’t happen, but Jen was involved with her latest installment of the vacation of the month club. So I volunteered though I’m not a fan of social media. In fact, my son usually took care of that for me before Jen. And I know it’s Friday, but better late than never. Hours:... I clearly didn’t call last weekend correctly, so I made a minor adjustment for this weekend. Saturday and Sunday we will again open at 7am. On Saturday, we will close at our regular time of 1:30 and Sunday we will close at 12:30. We closed a little too early last week. Friday Specials: Fish Basket - 1 or 2 pieces served with slaw and your choice of side. Shrimp Dinner - 6 fried shrimp with your choice of 2 sides. - $10 Pub Fish Sandwich - Fried fish with cheese, red onion, pepper slaw, spinach and hot sauce on a ciabatta roll.
