This week, 2 tow truck operators lost their lives while out on the job. One in Pennsylvania, the other in West Virginia. Statistics show that a driver is killed every 6 days while assisting others. This is why the "Slow down/Move over" law was created. People need to keep in mind while they are approaching an emergency vehicle on the side of the road, that we have a family and want to make it home just as bad as you do. While cars are equipped with airbags, seat belts, and other features to keep you safe, we are on the side of the road with only bright shirts and flashing lights to keep us safe. A car versus a person - the person will always lose. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of David Duchnik Jr of Duchnik's Towing in Pennsylvania, and also with the driver lost from Summer Towing in West Virginia.
