So excited to announce that gallery artist Rebecca Rutstein's (@rebecca.rutstein) interactive sculpture "Shimmer" has been acquired by the University of Georgia's Museum of Art. The piece was created in 2018 during Rebecca's tenure as UGA's Delta Visiting Chair for Global Understanding. As part of her residency, Rebecca was able to join scientists on an expedition to Mexico to study the Guaymas Basin in the Sea of Cortez, and the data they collected on the expedition was used to create this incredible piece. #RebeccaRutstein, #scienceinart, #environmentalism, #artandtechnology, #artinstallation, #contemporaryart, #art, #artlovers, #artistsoninstagram, #artoftheday, #artmuseum, #artcollections
