THIS IS AN OLD POST * SEE LATEST POST FOR UPDATED INFORMATION --- TONIGHT: A very weak system will skim by the area with very light snow - most areas well unde...r an inch. However, *patchy freezing drizzle could also occur* (especially Wyoming Valley to Poconos-Catskills), so exercise caution if traveling overnight-early Sunday as there could be slick spots on untreated surfaces. LOOKING AHEAD: A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for most of the area Monday-Tuesday; see our briefing by clicking on the "book" icon at https://www.weather.gov/bgm/briefingMain. Our first stab at forecast snow and ice amounts is shown in the graphic here; being still a couple days out *expect that there will be adjustments* as things become clearer. Main period of concern is Monday night into Tuesday. See the briefing or www.weather.gov/bgm for more details.

The Guthrie Clinic and Arnot Health are teaming up to fight COVID-19. In the spring, we all united to stop the spread of COVID-19. When we stayed home, the inf...ection rate was low. The sacrifices were not easy, but they worked. Now, COVID is once again on the rise. If COVID and the seasonal flu keep spreading, our region's health care systems will not have the resources to provide care for everyone who needs it. Please, help stop the spread. Wear a mask. Wash your hands. And get a flu shot - it will not prevent COVID, but it will help you stay healthy. This holiday season, we are urging you to make the adjustments needed to save lives. Keep your gatherings small, avoid crowds and any non-essential travel. Please do your part to help us all get through this safely. From our health care teams to your family - play it safe, play it smart, stay well.
