We’re happy to announce that Santa will be coming to town! He will be visiting Upper Chichester Township from December 7th-11th. Please keep your eyes and ears ...open as he will be making his way around each night starting at 6 pm. Due to COVID-19 things will be a little different this year. Out of an abundance of caution for our members and their families, we will not be handing out candy canes. Our route of travel will be a little different this year as well. We will be utilizing the Upper Chichester Township Sanitation Routes. This means Santa will visit your neighborhood on the evening of your trash day. While we know this isn’t a perfect scenario, we’re going to the best we can to keep everyone safe. Our Santa team will try to keep you updated via Facebook on our route of travel each night. We hope everyone has a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season!

** PRESS RELEASE ** The three Volunteer Fire Departments (Boothwyn, Ogden, and Reliance) in Upper Chichester Township have been working on a solution to address the ever increasing need to meet the manpower demands of operating in a safe and efficient manner and with the goal of improving emergency services to the community. In an attempt to accomplish this objective, the Chief Officers are experimenting with operating out of one central location, at this time being Boothwyn ...Fire Company. Responders will report to this central location where fire apparatus of each of the Fire Companies will be located. This will become effective on August 3rd. In the time leading to this date, cross training has been occurring so that familiarity with each other’s equipment and operations can result in a smooth transition with maximum effectiveness. Further to build upon the team concept, Delaware County Emergency Services has agreed to dispatch the Upper Chichester Fire Departments under a singular Company Number of 10. During the trial period, this approach will be evaluated to insure that coverage is adequately maintained and response time not impacted. In addition, retention of the current volunteers will be paramount and recruitment will remain a focused initiative. We appreciate the support the Public has given us in the past and during this time of challenge for Volunteers that you continue to acknowledge our value in making Upper Chichester Township a better, safer place. We will post our new Facebook page in the coming days. So stayed tuned for more updates. Ogden Fire Company Reliance Hook and Ladder Co. #1
