Here is a short video showing how to remove a LA-Z-BOY back and reattach it. All reclining furniture made by LA-Z-BOY has the same back brackets. Removing the backs from your furniture helps when you need to move it into your home or when transporting it. Example, take the back off your chair and turn the chair base sideways and now it will fit in the back seat of most vehicles!
