Bellevue Flea

Weather forecast looks clear for Sunday. 30 sellers have registered and we are looking forward to a great Flea. Most sellers are bringing a hodgepodge of flea market items from collectibles, antiques, home furnishings, toys to clothes. We'll also have some food vendors, crafters and artists as well as some vendors who represent commercial goods. A little something for everyone. Want to sell? Still time to sign up. Want to buy? Thanks to all of the sellers and buyers at today's first-ever BELLEVUE Flea. The weather was fine (even sunny at times) and the clouds didn't explode until everyone was all packed up and gone (well everyone except me). I was impressed with the variety of goods offered. Not everything worked as planned, but overall we thought this was a good first attempt. Several people asked if we plan to make this a regular event. We may. Stay tuned.

Weather looks good for the duration of the #BELLEVUEFlea. I've already been to the field. The grass is damp -- so waterproof shoes would be a best bet. Couldn't get an internet connection down there -- so this may be my last post unless I can get a cellular signal.

IT'S NOT TO LATE TO SIGN UP. We currently have 37 sellers. Let's make it an even 40. Go up to the attic and declutter. Venture into the basement and purge. Open your overstuffed closets and sort. Sign up for a spot, find a table, grab a pop up tent or even a patio umbrella (just in case we see some rain before 2) and come on down. Look like we'll have a nice crowd. #BELLEVUEFlea

TOMORROW is the day! We just added a new vendor - a company called Alley Soapworks who makes her own soaps and cosmetics. "I have attached a photo of my all natural dog shampoo bars.I also make several other varieties of soap. They are all natural and scented bars are scented only with pure essential oils or other natural oils -no synthetic fragrances. I have lavender. peppermint, shaving soap, knotweed soap, oatmeal honey (unscented), hunter's soap and orange patchouli." Isn't this dog soap bar beautiful? -- nicer than anything I have in my bathroom. #BELLEVUEFlea

Why create the Flea? All proceeds from the BELLEVUE Flea benefits the Bellevue Avalon Girls Athlete Association. Unlike many community athletic leagues who get $ from their municipality, BAGAA is a completely self-funded non-profit. We hope that the BELLEVUE Flea will be an event we can repeat -- creating a great event for our communities and a revenue stream for a very worthwhile organization. #BELLEVUEFlea

Calling all vendors!!! We've had a couple commercial vendors drop out so we have room to add some. We have a policy that we don't want more than one vendor representing the same brand. Currently we have people selling Avon, Jamberry, Crazy Wrap Thing and Sabika Jewelry. If you know anyone who sells other products (like Partylite, Tupperware, etc) please pass along information about our Flea. We have room for them. Feel free to share this post.

Highchairs & bounces & clothes OH MY. Yep we got lots of Kids stuff coming to the flea. In fact there will be some booths that will be completely devoted to kids clothing, toys, equipment, etc. One vendor is selling a little kid's pup tent that you can use as a travel bed while on vacation. Pretty cute.
