Bedford Bible Church

On Sunday morning we heard that Wanda Ritchie had passed into the presence of the Lord. Wanda's husband, Robert, was the first pastor here at Bedford Bible Church. We're thankful for her faithfulness and friendship. Geisel's Funeral Home has the following obituary: On Sunday, November 1, 2020, Mrs. Wanda J. Ritchie entered the presence of her Savior at the age of 84.... Born Wanda Jean Burdette in Huntington, W. Va., Wanda met her future husband, Rev. G. Robert Ritchie, at the New Tribes Bible Institute in Jersey Shore, PA. They served the Lord together for 42 years until his death in 1998. A loving mother and grandmother, Wanda will be forever remembered by her two daughters: Sharon Karns, of Bedford; and Robin Walton, of Wilkes-Barre, PA; as well as by her 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Wanda was a member of the Bedford Bible Church, where she served faithfully as a children's Sunday School teacher and ladies' Bible teacher for many years. She loved teaching the word of God. Viewing will be at the Bedford Bible Church on Thursday, November 5, 2020, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Wanda will be buried at Ritchey Cemetery beside her husband. Yippee! Construction of churches in the Lomerio will finally begin again. We had the construction of two new churches and the completion of two others planned f...or this year before COVID hit. Now, after months of waiting the quarantine has lifted enough for the leaders of REDES Lomerio to be able to work together gathering the local supplies needed, rock and sand, and to travel to Santa Cruz to buy in bulk the cement and other supplies needed. This morning the Juan and Rosita Garcia and two other leaders left home at 4:00 am on their motorcycles and caught a bus in Concepcion heading to Santa Cruz to purchase a truck load of cement and other building supplies! Remember to pray for our missionaries in relation to the lockdowns and laws they encounter on their fields. The Snodes shared this earlier: "Please pray for the UK at this time as a national lockdown comes into effect for England on Thursday. Wales and Northern Ireland are currently in lockdown and Scotland is under severe restrictions."... Its not clear how churches will be impacted at this time. But in other countries in the UK churches have not been allowed to stay open.
