Drivers Training Our members spent much of the weekend completing a class on EVOC, Emergency Vehicle Operations Class. We were happy to have former 60 Firefighter/Driver Eggo Ed Mccloskey on board to teach.... Each driver and driver canidates spent a number of hours in the classroom then drove an obstacle course and completed a road course with each individual apparatus. Doin’ What We Do 60 Pride

Bridge Dedication We were honored to participate in the dedication ceremony of the Louis J. Benzie Jr. WWII Memorial Bridge... Over the Laurel Run Creek on Rt 53 in the Village of Dysart. Representative Frank Burns lead the campaign of having the Bridge named in Benzie’s honor. Benzie served honorably in the United States Navy and was Killed in Action aboard the USS Maddox off the coast of Sicily, July 10-1943 Doin’ What We Do 60 Pride

Structure Fire Rescue and Truck 60 responded on a first alarm assignment, to a fire in an apartment building on the 700 block of Hemlock St. in Gallitzin Borough, assisting Station 71. Memorial Ride Rescue 60, Engine 60 and Truck 60 assisted with providing safe passage to the many bikers who participated in the Braydon Lingenfelter Memorial Ride Saturday. Braydon was a local young man, with aspirations of becoming an Ashville Firefighter, he sadly passed away in Nov 2016. Since that time the Braydon Lingenfelter Memorial Fund has become a huge supporter of the Ashville Fire Company and for that we are grateful.... Doin’ What We Do 60 Pride
