Art of Recycle

Fantastic team work this year with Cindy Mellinger from Blue Ridge Communications and the ladies at the Lititz VFW Auxiliary and the Fairland IU 13 and all of the organizations and classrooms and individuals who participated. Blue Ridge Communications Touch A Heart Event received over 10,000 cards for Veterans and Seniors in nursing homes. Wonderful work by wonderful people! We are honored to be a part of it.

We have boxes of string slime. I don’t know what it needs to activate it. They are food grade and in different colors. Teachers and homeschoolers are welcome to them. Just ask for them when you visit.

The free cart is outside everyday we are open. It is stocked with classroom supplies and play Baker sets for young children. There are free packages of bread and cookies. Help yourself! Program directors and after school club leaders, contact us if you would like cookies for snacks for the children in your programs. We will give you what you need

The front bling rooms are stocked full of the most fantastic beads, jewelry, gems and so much more. The scrapbook room is overflowing with scrapbooking materials. Every room is stocked with unique items. The AoR team has been working magic these past months.

It’s a Christmas Sale at Art of Recycle starting Monday, November 30th 9am to 5pm all week. Fill a bag with Christmas items. $5 a grocery bag. We have lots and lots of Christmas items to choose from. So many new and unique items. It’s best to call ahead and make an appointment. We are letting 10-15 shoppers in at a time, so shopping appointments are limited. No children are permitted in the building, Santa is not visiting us this year. You must wear a mask, and it must be worn properly. Temps are checked at the door. If you show up without calling first, you may not get a chance to shop. The store is stocked with so many great items! Teachers, we have lots of great items in the teacher area! Call ahead and bring a teacher ID or proof of your connection to your organization.

Winds of change and colder weather have us moving our pop-up homeschool and cyber-school resource room inside. In February just before the shutdown we expanded our space where the hairdressers used to be on the right side of the porch. we have used a portion of that room to host this pop-up resources room. Rules: Sign in, One family at a time. Must wear masks, Door will be unlocked 9:30a-3p every day but Thursdays and Sundays. We still have the play bakers kits (limit one per child) and school supplies bags (an assortment of ruler, pencils ad other stuff. also one per child)

Dear AoR family, A rogue snowstorm has taken over our tv. If you are upgrading your tv this season we are in need of several medium to large tv’s to help our small staff in both locations do the great work they do.
