Sunday, May 17, 2020 (Easter 6 & Rogation Sunday) Begin with this prayer: O God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as surpass our understanding: Pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.... Read these lessons: Acts 17:22-34 Psalm 148 1 Peter 3:8-18 John 15:1-11 Pray the Confession & Prayers Almighty God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, maker and judge of us all: We acknowledge and lament our many sins and offenses, which we have committed by thought, word, and deed against your divine majesty, provoking most justly your righteous anger against us. We are deeply sorry for these our transgressions; the burden of them is more than we can bear. Have mercy upon us, Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father; for your Son our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, forgive us all that is past; and grant that we may evermore serve and please you in newness of life, to the honor and glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Grant to your faithful people, merciful Lord, pardon and peace; that we may be cleansed from all our sins, and serve you with a quiet mind; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Prayers For our church - and for the Vestry and leaders now planning what's next. For any in need; for those who are alone; for those who have lost their jobs; For an end to the pandemic; we rebuke it! For doctors and medical workers on the front lines; For a quick economic recovery. For a spiritual awakening in the world! Concluding Prayer The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with us all ever more. Amen. (2 Cor 13:14)

MAUNDY THURSDAY 2020 This is the night that Christ the Son of Man gathered with his disciples in the upper room. This is the night that Christ our Lord and Master took a towel and washed the disciples' feet, calling us to... love one another as he has loved us. This is the night that Christ our God gave us this holy feast, that we who eat this bread and drink this cup may here proclaim his perfect sacrifice. This is the night that Christ the Lamb of God gave himself into the hands of those who would slay him. Maundy Thursday's Gospel Lesson: John 13:1-15

ALL SAINTS ANGLICAN CHURCH RESPONDS TO THE CORONAVIRUS Dear friends and parishioners, A colleague of mine wrote to his church yesterday saying, "This has been one of the most unusual weeks of my adult life." I couldn't agree more. We began the week casually following the news as usual, but by the end of the week we've witnessed nearly every public institution taking drastic measures and cancelling operations. Seneca Valley schools are now closed. Even the tiny offices of Zeli...enople Borough have closed. After consulting with the Senior Warden and several clergy colleagues, I am announcing today the cancellation of all church events (even Sunday Worship) for the rest of March. You may be someone who is relieved by this announcement. Or on the contrary, you may feel that this is an over-reaction and totally unnecessary. But here is the rationale: 1. We are not panicking. The sky is not falling. We are taking preemptive action as an act of concern for our own members and our community. 2. It is likely that many people already have the virus, but because testing has been so limited, we just do not know who is already infected. In many instances, people who contracted the virus showed no symptoms for many many days. 3. We cannot stop the spread. But, we CAN slow its spread. A compelling line of reasoning is that if everyone gets it at once, our hospitals and healthcare system will be overwhelmed. But if people get it over a longer period of time, the system will hold. 4. Several sister churches around us have made the same decision: Ascension, Oakland, and St. Stephen's, Sewickley, are taking the same precautions. 5. Ministry will continue. We will be in touch by email soon about staying connected. 6. President Trump has called for Sunday, March 15, to be a National Day of Prayer. We will send some resources for you to use. 7. Giving. While we may not be meeting for a few weeks, I strongly urge you to continue to give to the church. We are committed to paying all our our employeesall of whom depend on their incomes. You can give online with FaithStreet here: https://www.faithstreet.com//all-saints-anglican-ch/giving, or you can always mail a check to 1510 Haine School Rd, Cranberry Twp., PA 16066. God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble. We will all get through and past this. Let's make sure to put our trust in him. Please keep our church, our city, and the world in your prayers. Paul+
