Join Rabbi Yanoff for this week's Adult Education Topic: Jews and Boos Challah-Ween: Like everything this year, Halloween promises to be different. Does Judaism have anything to say about Halloween in its origins, and how it is currently celebrated? How might this be a case study in how we as Conservative Jews live deeply and (somewhat) comfortably in multiple worlds? Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 5:00 PM

You may have received an email purporting to be from Rabbi Yanoff, requesting a favor or help. THIS IS A SCAM, SENT FROM A FRAUDULENT EMAIL ADDRESS. PLEASE DISREGARD. Sadly, this scam has been happening to rabbis recently; this is not an email address owned by Rabbi Yanoff. Apologies for any disruption this may have caused to you; please make sure that if you replied, your own devices are secure. If you have questions, please contact the synagogue at [email protected]. Chag Sukkot Sameach! This time of year, we have many unusual traditions. We take our meals in a sukkah and we shake a lulav. But how do we shake the lulav? Watch and learn as Rabbi Yanoff gets a little help from Rabbi Markowitz in this topsy-turvey year.

Shavua Tov and Happy 5781! It was wonderful to see so many faces at our Havdalah, Live! event last night! We know that many of you have questions about returning your machzors and the upcoming Sukkot and Simchat Torah holidays. We will be sending more information out over the course of this week, and -- as before -- information will be available at hhd.adathisrael.org. ... How do I return my Machzor... Option #1: Come to Adath Israel during office hours, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Use the call box at the Chapel entrance to dial 1919. A member of the staff will come and retrieve them from you. Option #2: There will be a plastic bin outside of the Chapel lobby of Adath Israel after office hours. Please write your name on the provided index cards for each machzor you are returning and insert it into the machzor. Place the machzor in the plastic bin. As this week is humid and rainy, please make sure to secure the lid to the plastic bin so that all of the machzors that are returned remain protected. *Lulav & Etrog - If you pre-ordered your Lulav & Etrog, you will receive an email as soon as they come in this week.*
