Our Sunday Academy is cooking up a storm! 120 meals and breakfast bags being prepped right now for local families and seniors! Way to go, guys!

Sunday Academy is canceled today, Sunday, December 15 due to icy conditions on the roads. The Cook For A Friend program we had scheduled for this morning will be rescheduled for a later date. Stay safe everyone and enjoy the day!

Monday Academy students cooked and packaged meals for local seniors and others in need. Between breakfasts and dinners, we prepared over 300 meals! Awesome job, everyone!!

Our Sunday Academy students will come together for a day of community service and learning next Sunday, December 15! We will be cooking and packaging meals for over 100 local home bound senior citizens and others in need, and we'll spend some time learning about why we give and how we decide where to give our time and other resources. We won't be able to do this project without your help! We are asking for families to contribute the following items: Ms. Cantor's 7th grade cor...e: six or eight-packs of granola bars and/or individual boxes of raisins (usually come in 6 packs) Ms. Blum’s 7th grade core: juice boxes (100% juice preferred) and/or large cans of Bruce’s Yams (40 oz.) 8th and 9th grade: shelf-stable pudding packs and bags of frozen corn kernels Feel free to drop off your donations anytime up to and including December 15....see you there!

Our entire academy will come together for a special cooking project with the Klein JCC's Cook For a Friend program on Monday, November 25. We will be preparing and packaging Thanksgiving meals for those in need. This is a huge project and we need your help! We are asking families to donate the following items for this program: Mr Beifel's 7th grade core: eight or ten-packs of juice boxes Ms. Gutman's 7th grade core: six-packs of raisins (individual serving boxes)... Ms. Cantor's 7th grade core: six or eight-packs of granola bars Ms. Shaprio's 7th grade core: ten-pack boxes of instant oatmeal (plain/regular flavor) 8th grade: 1 lb. bags of frozen corn and/or non-refrigerated 4 packs of pudding 9th grade: 29 oz. cans of Bruce's Yams and/or non-refrigerated 4 packs of pudding

Some of our great classes this quarter are on topics such as American culture, bioethics, rock music, conversational Hebrew, and the ethics of eating.
